Concrete Pool Construction
The construction process for a concrete pool begins with an accurate excavation in which we will form the entire structure, walls, floor, steps and benches as a grid of steel, reinforcing-bar. This is then coated with a 10”-14” thickness of high-strength, pneumatically applied concrete, referred to as shot-crete.
Once the concrete shell is complete, the surface can be finished in a variety of different ways. Typically, the pool is finished with natural or man-made coping stones along the top, outer-edge of the pool. Below this sits a 8"-12" tile line which can be finished using many possible varieties of porcelain and glass tile. The rest of the pool surface is then coated with a smooth marbelite or plaster finish. Alternatively, the entire pool or spa surface can be finished with tile. With a concrete pool the possibilities are endless!
All of our pools come standard with start-up chemicals, all required maintenance equipment, instruction session, two follow-up service/instruction visits and first year winterization, cover and related equipment - worth well over $1,000.
